what is Health and Wellness Coaching?

Coaching is usually 1:1 or small group sesssions that use specifically developed methodologies to guide you in overcoming obstacles, building your strengths and achieving your personal and/or professional goals.

The Coach may provide general wellness and nutrition information, along with options, recommendations, guidance, motivation, and skill-building to establish healthier lifestyle routines as well as other support mechanisms to achieve client-focused personal goals. 

Coaching is a partnership where you are guided in creating your own goals. This results in an authentic lifestyle you are more likely to maintain long after coaching sessions are over. (Scope of Practice)

Coaching compliments other services such as therapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, personal training, and more.

what Other services does hannah provide?

Hannah utilizes a platform, Healthie, for clients as a tracking and communication resource that is HIPAA compliant. She also uses Physiapp, which provides educational content for exercises, exercise routines and proper technique.

She also provides health, nutrition and fitness education; educational materials and resources within her professional scope. Hannah has a Bachelors of Exercise Science and a Masters of Education in Applied Kinesiology. To view Hannah’s full credentials visit her on LinkedIn or watch this video. Educational topics may include but are not limited to:

  • Basic nutrition

  • Exercise & fitness

  • Time management

  • Healthy lifestyle habits (hydration, sleep habits, physical activity, self-care, etc)

  • Supportive strategies (i.e. mindfulness and visualizations)

Educational materials and resources are provided as digital handouts, blogs, podcasts and videos.

Hannah also provides health and wellness education during live webinars or in-person seminars.

Lastly, Hannah helps small businesses develop and coordinate wellness programs for their employees and business.

What is a Comprehensive wellness assessment?

The assessment includes forms you fill out assessing the full scope of your current state of wellness. It also includes questions and conversations that occur during the first 2-3 coaching sessions. Periodically this assessment will be used as a re-assessment for you to determine your progress. The information covered in the wellness assessment varies based on your personal goals, but includes:

  • Wellness rhythm wheel & journal

  • Mental health questionnaire screening

  • Diet/nutrition screening

  • Health tests (i.e. blood tests, resting heart rate, blood pressure, weight, etc.)

  • Values quiz

  • Character strengths quiz

  • Professional screenings (leadership, communication, personality)


What is Biometric Tracking?

Biometric tracking is a fancy phrase used to say that we will document and track various wellness and health related areas. This will be personalized based on your goals, and may include:

  • Weight/BMI

  • Self-reported questionnaires

  • Diet/nutrition

  • Physical activity

  • Other health related areas (i.e. blood pressure, heart rate, blood glucose, etc)

  • Electronic journal entries

Why do you offer subscriptions?

Coaching methods, tools and skills take time to learn and implement. They require a period of time with a coach to guide and facilitate your journey; and it requires your time, energy and commitment.

Fortunately, the tools and skills you gain will serve you long after you are done with your coaching sessions—the intention is personal growth and your autonomy, which is your ability to continue to build off of your strengths, manage your health and wellness, overcome your obstacles and achieve your goals using the tools, skills and resources you learned.

What if I can’t afford your coaching session or subscription?

There are lots of coaches out there. The more established and experienced coaches are going to be more expensive, but they also have a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. I have done my best to keep my overhead lower and rates reasonable. The main thing is to find a coach that meets your needs. This is why I offer a free 20-minute coaching session to help make sure we are a good fit.

what is your cancellation policy for appointments?

You must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel appointments. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advanced (or no shows) will forfeit that appointment and payment.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel your coaching subscription at anytime. You will NOT be reimbursed for payments already made.

Do I have to use my coaching sessions each month with my subscription?

Ideally yes. However, we know that sometimes a month may present obstacles or unexpected circumstances that may prevent you from using a session. In those cases, you will have 14 days after that month is over to use the session before it expires.

How do you protect my privacy?

We respect you and your privacy. Prior to your first coaching session a coaching agreement and confidentiality will be signed. Also the platform, Healthie, used to store and communicate is HIPAA compliant, providing additional protection to sensitive and personal information.
